Abel Brainz Digest, Vol. 58 - July 11, 2024

Right on Time, baybeh!

kind of....

(in my defense, I lost track of what day it was...)

Let's get to it

stuff that lives rent free in my head

Wayne's World. I'm sure I mentioned this classic before. This particular line was/is a favorite reference of mine. Especially when I visit friend's places for the first time (or a really cool house/apartment)

fun reading stuff

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow  by Gabrielle Zevin - oof. In the best way possible. It's not my style to read a book everyone talks about and says is good. My snobbery days are almost all behind me. Anyway, it might be one of the best works of fiction I have ever read... I'm also not a huge fan of hyperbole. Check it out when you get a chance.

This is How You Lose the Time War... by Amal El Mohtar & Max Gladstone

I thiiink I liked it. I definitely didn't not like it. It's short and sweet and to the point. Let's you do a lot of the imagining, which I dig.

A Pocketful of Happiness by Richard E. Grant

I'm a wreck and I'm only 40ish pages in. Richard E. Grant and his memoir starting with how he met and lost his wife.... It doesn't bury the lede, you know it exactly how it ends, and you can't stop reading.
