Yeah, I'm sure you all binged the third season of The Bear a month or so ago. Yeah, well, not me. I am now, though, and I'm loving it. It's feeling itself, and I have my thoughts. I'll save them for later. 

cool movie stuff

I rewatched The Revenant the other day. My wife worries about me when I rewatch these brutal movies. Regardless, the storytelling without dialogue is top notch. You might remember how big a fan I am of silence in scenes and using that silence to elicit emotion while still telling a story. 

cool music stuff

Sorry, another reference to The Bear coming in hot. (Hands!) One of the best covers, or "re-fires," I've heard in a while was in Season 3, brought to you by Rock Legend Eddie Vedder. (like it or not, he is.) This might be his best performance. I digress, this performance has been put into heavy rotation recently. 

cool (deep) thoughts

I may have brought up my love for Jack Handey's Deep Thoughts in the past. They still live rent free in my brain. And they're delightful. Once I find the one about dolphins, I'll share it.
