Abel Brainz Digest, Vol. 71 - January 2025, EARLY EDITION

Merry New Year!!

I know, I know. I leave you high and dry for a few months and then come back a few weeks later.

Don't worry it's mainly for shameless self promotion.

Before I get to that, here's some cool stuff.

cool music stuff

I found this jam late 2024 and it's doing an excellent job of putting me in a good mood. I've also been feeling this playlist whilst I toil away at my computer.

cool book stuff

Just wrapped up the Burnt Tongues Anthology, a collection of short stories that is not for the faint of heart.

Started Adventures of Huckleberry Finn to get prepped for reading James by Percival Everett. I actually have never read Huck Finn as an adult and probably barely read it as a kid.

I'm also reading The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt - it'll make you rethink how much time we spend on social media.

Ugh, three books at one time? Gross. Who do I think I am

I'm in Road Trip on Friday, January 17th at 10pm at Dad's Garage!!! I love the format and I'm very honored and excited to be in this edition. I hope to see you there!! Click HERE to buy tickets.

I'm also in Short Form Shenanigans at Dynamic El Dorado on Saturday, January 25th at 7:45pm.

Look at that, 2 (two!!) shows in a month! And on different days so if you work on Friday, you can go Saturday, or if you work early Saturday morning you can take a quick nap and still go on Saturday. Or if you work early on Friday, you can definitely take a nap since the show doesn't start until 10pm.... Okay, you get the idea.

That about does it for me. Not too much in that one. So did I make a point to send another volume just to publicize shows I'm in?

That's show biz, baybee.
