A Pocketful of Happiness by Richard E. Grant is chock-full of wisdom, vulnerability, and levity amidst the worst situation possible. A lot of his gems are improv related and I'm kicking myself for reading without taking notes. 

cool movie stuff

Nothing like a good rewatch. The Social Network is good. Really good. The first scene is pretty riveting and it's "just" two people talking. 

This scene from Glengarry Glenross came up in conversation. Mamet wrote it for Alec Baldwin and we can see why.
